L&E Reid Antiques is located in Litchfield County, CT in the historic village of New Preston. Situated near the lovely and scenic Lake Waramaug, the shop offers private collectors, interior designers, and architects a selection of thoughtfully chosen antiques pieces from Europe and America.
Everett Reid was first exposed to the passionate art of collecting antiques as a young child through his Grandparent's extensive collection. His mother, Priscilla, collected antiques and managed an antique shop for many years. Consequently, Everett developed an eye for quality and originality at an early age.
In the late 1980's, Everett and Linda began traveling in the winter to source antiques in Europe in order to furnish their restaurants and antique shop on Nantucket Island. In 2005, together they opened L&E Reid Antiques in New Preston, CT.
Along with their exquisite collection of tables, chairs, clocks, dressers and cabinets showcased throughout the four rooms of the shop,are the antique handwoven rugs & period European tapestries from the Nemati Collection These textiles are works of art which possess ageless character and a warm patina to compliment the uniqueness of any home. The Nemati Collection has been recognized for distinguished expertise and the most enticing assemblage of fine antique and modern rugs and tapestries in the world. These rugs and tapestries adorn the floors and walls of the L&E Reid Antiques Shop in western Connecticut, located 90 minutes from New York City and only two hours from Boston.

Lake Waramaug, near New Preston, is surrounded by several fine inns, a vineyard and a state park on it's shores. The area is wonderful for a visit or weekend getaway, a land of covered bridges, pretty lakes, and comfy inns.
